eBay awards $500,000 to boost seller success

eBay announced the launch of its fourth annual Up & Running Grants program in partnership with Hello Alice, created to encourage and support U.S. small businesses with the resources they need to scale, stay up, run online and secure their future into 2023.
To further the success of small businesses on its platform, eBay has a longstanding commitment to providing them with resources for physical and digital store improvements, new equipment and inventory, hiring, training and marketing.
This year, eBay has added to the grant an additional stipend worth $500 that each Up & Running Grant recipient can use to equip themselves with essential office technology and tools from eBay Refurbished.
Since its launch in 2020, eBay’s Up & Running Grants have committed more than $2 in funding to encourage and support the expansion, growth and development of more than 200 small businesses across the United States. A survey of eBay Up & Running Grants recipients since 2020 showed that 91 percent of recipients found the grant to be very helpful to their businesses. In addition, 41 percent of respondents reported a significant increase in business revenue after receiving the grant.

"Supporting sellers is at the core of our marketplace, and the capital, community and business tools that make up our Up & Running Grants represent another layer of eBay's investment and commitment to every seller's success."
It's the fourth year that eBay has partnered with Hello Alice, a free platform designed for AND by small business owners, to offer grants for success.

2023 Up & Running Seller Grants Program
Through the 2023 eBay Up & Running Grants program, a new class of 50 eBay small business sellers will each receive a $10,000 grant package composed of cash, premium access to guided online educational content through the new eBay Academy, and direct training and coaching from expert sellers and eBay Growth Advisors.
This program is open to eBay small business sellers from Friday, June 9, 2023 at 6pm (EST). The applicants will be asked to share details about their business and how they plan to use the grant to accelerate their growth. eBay is looking for sellers with diverse backgrounds, bringing their unique experience and inventory to the marketplace, and committed to their communities and the eBay ecosystem.
